Anthony Nolan Trust – Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 January

Could you be a stem cell donor and help people with leukaemia?

For thousands of patients with leukaemia, their only hope of survival is a donation of healthy stem cells.  But they can’t just take cells from anybody – they need a person who is a match.  If you are aged 18 – 40 and would like to help by becoming a donor, please visit the ANTHONY NOLAN stand in the College Foyer on Monday 16th January between 12.00 & 2.00 to complete a registration form. If you are suitable you will be invited to donate a small amount of saliva at a College ‘Clinic’ on Tuesday 17th January between 10.00 & 4.00.

If you would like more information or are interested but not available during the above times, please contact the Student Services Centre.

Library Workroom

The Library Team would like to remind you not to bring food or fizzy drinks into the Library.  Computer equipment and Library stock could be harmed and other students disturbed.  The Work Room was closed for one day last week because some students were eating and drinking while using the computers and then left behind waste food and drinks.  Please respect the Library, your Work Room and the comfort of others by not bringing in any refreshments except bottled water. Thank you for your co-operation.

Grant cheques

If you have been approved a maintenance grant cheque you can collect it from the Student Services Centre.  Please bring photographic ID.

  • help young people who are thinking about leaving home to make informed choices

If you are under 21, have had experience of being homeless or living in unsuitable accommodation and would like to know more, contact Joanna on 675507.
